Can you tell we love visitors!? Here are the kids waiting for Jessica and Jonathon to arrive. They would have been outside waiting, but we had a heat index of 111 degrees and they didn't really feel like it.
Rachel watching Nesta eat!
Our kids remembered really fast how much they love Nesta; and she's not as wild as we remembered. Whenever we were home during their visit, this was what we saw.
Jess had the idea to make yummy shish-ka-bobs with vegies from our garden and a few from the store. MMMMM!
See the little dinosaurs in the stream?
Jessica and Jonathon
Our first big dinosaur find!
The theme for the summer at Powell Gardens was "Jurassic Gardens," because of all the life-size dinosaurs hidden throughout. Here's Kyle showing us his t-rex claw.

Here's me and my sis. Thanks for coming, Jess!
It was hot! Kayla did not enjoy the heat. This is her "I'm miserable" pose...although she's really trying not to let us see her smile!
Here's a sampling of the beautiful flowers
Here we are leaving Powell gardens
There was a really cool butterfly conservatory, where we could find all different kinds of butterflies with the chart they gave us. Here's one landing on Jonathon
The trolley ride was one of the highlights. As you can tell from Rachel's flushed cheeks, it was hot that day! There was a severe heat warning (a heat index of 111 degrees). So we spent the earliest part of the day outside, and then did the inside things.
