1 post, Many events

Well, I just have a few minutes but I don't want to get too far behind documenting our life in pictures.  Also, I don't have near as many pictures as I should for all of these events; but here goes:

I'm still spending my days with these adorables!!  I just love them.

My children have gone crazy with chalk pictures on the driveway.  I have WAY more pictures of these that the kids took, but here's just a sampling...

Jason took this picture of me and Kayla talking.  This is something we are doing WAY more of than Kayla would like (sorry, toots), but we are in a learning/changing phase in our parenting just as she is with her maturity, so talk we must.

Easter Sunday was a simple, fun day.  The kids colored eggs with Aunt Diane last week and I didn't get any pictures, but thankfully it warmed up enough after church for the kids to hunt eggs outside.

Kayla didn't hunt eggs until the last, but she was inside with Jason, as he was getting her registered to index 1940 census records on Family Search Indexing!

Finally she drug herself out for some fun, and she was sad when it was over; but by this time the rest of us had been hunting for a while and we were ready to be done.

...and we were ready to make them into deviled eggs!

Aunt Diane helped Rachel with the filling even though it was her birthday!

Kayla decorated her cake.
A tender moment came Saturday morning even before breakfast.   The kids had Easter baskets waiting for them when they woke up, and when I got up, I saw that Kyle was already in his room with the door locked.  Before I had a chance to get frustrated he said, "I'm not doing anything bad; you'll just have to wait a few minutes."  (Not that he does bad thing in his bedroom, but he's usually required to open the door unless he's getting dressed).  A few minutes later, he came out with the egg on the left:

Rachel thought it was a great idea, so she made the one on the right.  I have been feeling like my kids don't show enough gratitude, so I was touched by this.

A few days later, yesterday, we got to go and serve at the Kansas City Temple Open House!!  I served a shift serving refreshments to the guests, and Jason served the next shift (so I could go take care of our kids) helping with security.  We met up just before I left and when he was coming in.  His eyes are closed, but that's what we got!

I got to work with these lovely ladies backstage laying out cookies.

And with these lovely ladies serving drinks and answering questions.

It was so great.  An experience I will not soon forget.  To be at one of my favorite places sharing what I believe.  There have been 4,000-6,000 guests each day so far.  Next week our family will be guests on the tour!  Wahoo!  Our new temple!

That's really neat to be part of a new temple. I still remember well being part of the Timpanogos open houses, memorizing a part to tell people in the tents, singing with the choir, etc, amazing times.
