We're grateful to have family in Missouri. We spent the day at Jen and Val's.

Somehow Kyle escaped any pictures :(

We are also grateful for early Christmas presents: this basketball stand has been very well used and appreciated around here.
I'm grateful for 15 years of marriage (we celebrated this weekend). For some reason, it feels like "we've arrived." All of sudden, even though I don't feel old, my logic tells me we're getting old. We have to be to celebrate 15 years of marriage! There have been a few marriages of people we know break up, and it has made me feel incredibly grateful that we're still together, still working hard to overcome our many shortcomings and incompatabilities. 15 years ago, people thought it was cute that we kissed after saying prayers, and held hands. They smiled that we showered together and made sure to sit together at church. Well, we still do all of those things and maybe they have been part of the secret of working through the times that haven't been fun or easy.Of course, with all of these thoughts swirling through my mind, we went to the temple to serve doing proxy sealings (an anniversary tradition), and there was a couple there that must have been married for 60 years or so. All of a sudden, 15 years didn't seem very long! We haven't "arrived" after all. We're just babes in this business! I feel confident that if we keep up what we've been doing, letting go more and more of selfishness, pride, and judgments, we'll be that couple in 45 years, still holding hands and kissing after prayers. That's our goal!
