Our plan this summer was to go on our little family vacation to the beach in Alabama. The kids vetoed that one because they didn't want drive that far :( They chose the Schlitterbahn Water Park, where we went a few years ago.

It was great because they added a bunch of rides since last time, one of which wasn't even a water ride. It was a zip line ride-- but not a free fall one. It was pretty fun.
The first thing we did when we got there was to take a turn on all of the water slides while the lines were short. Which was good because all the kids wanted to do the rest of the day was this: going around and around on the torrent river, waiting for the tidal waves that come every 30 seconds or so. As long as they're happy... I like the water slides myself.

Luckily, I could. As much as I love babies and have perennial cravings for a newborn of my own, it really is so nice to have older kids. We could let them go off together and have some time to ourselves.
