I'm hoping things will calm down a bit can I can make some headway on my to-do list.
Things I don't want to forget:
Kayla's license arrived!
Oh, and the same week of her driver's test, she got the okay from her doctor to return to regular sports after her ankle sprain. So, she's a happy girl!
Last school year, Rachel earned a free pass to Schlitterbahn by reading a certain number of hours. So, she and I went on a date there together. We had a blast!
The next day, our friend Steven was baptized! Steven works with Jason at Perfect-A-Line. Watching Steven change and grow has been really neat.
He's become more like a brother than a friend. In fact, just this week we invited him to live with us while he gets on his feet, and to give him the support that he needs as he adjusts to a new life, really.
The kids started school! Kyle in 8th grade, Rachel in 5th, and Kayla in 11th.
Today me and Kyle got our date. We went to Jurassic World. It wasn't my first choice, but "if it's important to him, it's important to me." I couldn't believe it when the only option was IMAX 3d. I'm not an action/adventure fan, and the last time I saw a 3d movie I got sick. But we went, and it was awesome! I din't get sick, and I definitely think this was the best format for this movie. I had a great time with my boy. And from the picture, you can see his growth spurt that put him an inch taller than me!
