Covid-19 Quarantine 2020

In mid-March the library closed and shortly after the state of Colorado issued a stay-home order.  I was about to start my new full time position at the library in the Collection Management department, but now I would work from home when I could (which wasn't a lot).  Kayla was still working because she is a "grocery" category at Great Harvest.  Jason still worked because his company made materials for hospital use.  Kyle still worked because Target provides groceries (although he wasn't getting lots of hours).  So, I started tending Melody, and we had lots of good stay at home time.
 Movie buddies:

I had the opportunity to serve by making masks for the local hospital:

We even caught Kyle reading to Miss Melody:

We spent each morning outside on the grandma swing, watering strawberries and hanging out.
With the library closed, we read the same books to Melody over and over again, so that soon she had them memorized:

 Morning buddies:
Jason gets the first 20 minutes with Melody before he leaves for work:
I made masks for myself since I would be wearing them indefinitely when I went back to the library in early May.  I also wear them out in public, as requested by the county health department.
One day we dug out the old water balloons:

I'm so grateful we got this extra time together before Kyle left for boot camp.  The global pandemic has wrought much hardship and devastation for many people, but in our little world, we were taken care of and blessed immensely.
