In April, we all headed out to conquer Mt. Garfield. It's a difficult, steep hike that leads to an incredible plateau overlooking the Mesa Valley. Jason was carrying Melody in a backpack, and for the first time EVER, he wasn't feeling well and had to turn back. Kayla went with him but Rachel really wanted to make it to the top, so the two of us kept going.

Jason was determined not be outdone by this mountain, so he and I went again two weeks later (even though I told myself once was enough- I'd never do it again). Here's the view as we approached it. The very top plateau is where we ended up.
Twice is enough...until Kayla wants to go for it!
