Yesterday was our last day of summer vacation. I wanted to soak up every minute of it. The first thing I saw on my camera from yesterday was this video of Kyle and Rachel singing "Eye of the Tiger." There's two more where this came from, that I'll put on my web album sometime soon. This is Kyle's new favorite song. And if you know how shy my kids are, I thought it was great to see them singing it, and that they gave me permission to put it on the blog! Kyle's been listening to music all summer-- analyzing lyrics and deciding what is appropriate and what's not. He's really got me thinking (and he's found some great songs along the way). Actually, the two of us haven't quite figured out what "Eye of the Tiger" is all about. So if you know, pass it along.
We left in the morning and stopped at the bank to deposit their earnings from the summer.
Then we went to the library to pick out some new books....
Then, we stopped by the church so I could make some copies for my Seminary class (which starts Monday!).

...followed by 4 hours at Food 4 Kids, the community program that we have been volunteering with each Tuesday this summer. What a great opportunity to help kids and meet new people.
And finally, the kids last weekday movie for a while: Alvin and the Chipmunks
