On Saturday, Kayla had the awesome opportunity to ride with her horseback riding teacher in a parade!
She wasn't nervous at all-- she loves this horse. She rode with the Concordia Saddle Club, which she doesn't belong to, but her teacher does, and her friend from school. It's hard to see but Kayla is in the middle (6th from the left).
Here is my first sight of her at the parade. I was so engrossed in the trick riders ahead of her that I didn't see her coming.
So, of course, I had to run down the parade route to get better pictures.
This is her "I can't believe you're such a dork, Mom" look.
...but it's worth it to be where she loves to be: riding a horse.
