Well, after a fun and busy summer, ending with our volunteering at a 3 day vacation bible school last week, it's time for school to start again.

Kyle had his 7th grade orientation on Monday.  He was quite anxious to go, as always, but he's done good so far!

The first day for everyone was Wednesday, Kyle for 7th grade, Kayla for 10th grade, and Rachel for 4th grade.  It should be a great year, even if everyone was fighting me about the picture, and thus, I couldn't get one without someone blinking.  The quote Rachel's holding says, "When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind."  It's our theme for the school year.  I don't remember who originally said it, but I got it out of the book "Wonder" by RJ Palacio- a great read that I've bribed my kids into reading for "Mom's book club." (which was invented to get them to read this book).
