Volleyball

Kayla's volleyball season is in full swing.  With my camera, I'm unable to get un-blurry pictures, but Jen and Val had a break in their own kids' sports last night, and came to watch Kayla.  They got these great pictures, for which I'm so grateful!
Here's Kayla, #12, coming through the tunnel at the beginning of the game, high-fiving her team and her coaches.
Then wishing the other team good luck.
If I'm learning my terminology correctly, this is her spiking the ball.  She said several people were impressed with how high off the ground she was.
 Her jump serve!
Blocking?  Oh, I think there's another term for it.  I may have to edit this once she or Jason gets home :)

I just love watching her play!  And I'm so grateful that she has a dad who know what's going on and can talk to her about it.  She's pretty annoyed about what I don't know.  But in my defense, I've learned a lot from when she began.  Maybe by the time she's a senior, I'll get it all.

that's great! How many teams do they have there? Here they have a freshman/sophomore, JV and Varsity teams for the girls. 2 of Emma's good friends play, so we're learning a little too. You crack me up learning the correct terminology! Emma went to her friend's volleyball game and then her friend came to her track meet and they both thought each other's sports were SO boring!

Kayla is doing an awesome job. Give her a high five. Boy does this bring back memories of Crystal and Carrie playing. Thanks for the great pics.
