The rest of June

June was a crazy month, I've just been coming up for air periodically between work, having the kids home, and church and volunteer responsibilities.
The week after Kyle's birthday, he and Jason went to scout camp.  It was just the two of them this year, so they picked a scout camp they hadn't been to before.  He made some new friends and had fun getting his shotgun and archery merit badges, among a few others.

Another thing that happened this month was a fun youth activity at church that the kids look forward to every year: a chalk fight!  Rachel got to join us because that's how it goes when both of your parents serve as youth presidents!  I think everyone had a great time.  Here's the 3 kids before the fight, with their war paint on:

I joined in this year for the first time.

So did Jason, although he is not nearly messy enough if you asked me.

That same week we had Vacation Bible School with the Interfaith Alliance.  I was the director again this year.  Kayla and Haley volunteered to help with the preschool, but no preschool age kids came, so they hung out and joined in wherever they felt like it (like during snack time!).

Rachel participated in lot of grames, crafts, and bible stories and music.

Kyle was on the game crew again this year.  He was given more responsibilities and took them seriously, well as seriously as Kyle can take things these days.

Here's my favorite video from the VBS program:

One last thing for June: a video of my bike-riding kids.  They discovered a new thrill!
