After about a year and changing states, Kyle found an eagle project! The ranch manager at the Ragged Mountain LDS ranch asked for replacement picnic tables. The funny thing is, Jason's eagle project decades ago was also picnic tables (his for the church pavilion--and they're still there!). I really didn't do much, mostly helping with paperwork. Jason and his parents were a great support, especially since they know so many people around here, because the first part was raising money for the tables:
I have to admit I was surprised when the money was raised. Donations were quite slow coming in, but thanks to some very generous people who love Ragged Mountain and Scouting, the funds were raised, the tables were ordered, and were delivered to Jason's parent's home.
Kyle, Jason, and Grandpa put together one table so they would know how it went
Then the scout troop came and helped assemble the rest, 5 in all.
They put them together and loaded them on Grandpa's trailer
The troop went on one of their overnight campouts up to Ragged Mountain, and Jason's parent's picked Rachel and I up in the wee hours of the morning to drive the tables up and support Kyle.
Then it was simply unloading them to the most needed places.
He's got some great fellow scouts and leaders.
He then had some paper work to complete and compile, but as of today, they're turned in and awaiting approval and his Eagle Board of Review. Way to go, Kyle!

Great project! So proud of him!
Nice! Can I still donate or is it too late?
He raised the full amount already, but thanks so much for thinking of it!
