No Thoroughfare Trail

We went searching for water on a hike in May.  This trail, the No Thoroughfare Trail on the Colorado National Monument, said there were two waterfalls in the first few miles.  We set out full of hope, but prepared to be disappointed as Grand Junction has been suffering from a severe draught.

Rachel was "about to die" when we started hearing the trickle of water of this stream.  We wondered if this was the "waterfall."

Then we found this little one!  Nothing spectacular, but we were so happy to find water!

So we kept going (much to Rachel's chagrin) and saw water dripping down rocks to the 2nd waterfall.  A little more spectacular, esepcially the sound of running water.
