Jason and the kids had an awesome opportunity on March 30-April 1. They went with the youth to Utah for the Jordan River Temple Open House and for a session of General Conference. I opted to stay home. I had just been released from young women's, and really just wanted some time to myself (which was very nice).
Kyle didn't want to miss school, so he and a couple of other kids went with Jason after school and made it to the open house later, then met up with Rachel and the rest of the group at the homes where they were staying in Provo.
The next morning, they all headed up to temple square. They didn't have tickets to conference. The plan was to try stand-by, but they ended up in the Tabernacle, which was cool too. That's where they were for the solemn assembly sustaining Russell M Nelson as our newest prophet after the death of Thomas S Monson in January.
What a great experience, I'm so grateful they could do this.
Rachel headed home with the group, but Jason and Kyle actually stayed behind, as they had tickets to the Priesthood session of General Conference.
Awesome.
