Westwood Family Reunion in Leadville, Colorado

In early August, we had our biennial Westwood Family Reunion in Leadville, Colorado. It was kind of mess because we had a different original plan in Collbran.  However, the property owner double booked and we got the short end of the stick, so my mom quickly found a great place in Leadville.  We were missing several family members but we were happy that we could get together.

The first day we settled in, had dinner and played games.  The morning of the 2nd day, most of us headed out to the Mayflower Gulch hike.  I love this picture of my mom telling a story and Jess' awesome reaction.
It was a beautiful hike.

Jen and I loved having a chance to walk Jude and JoJo (or more accurately, they walked us).

The 3rd day, we went down the road a bit to Mt. Elbert (elevation 14,333).  We didn't hike that mountain, but we toured the town of Twin Lakes and went on a little excursion to one of them).

This was so hilarious- a dummy cop hiding in the car to scare people!

We played more games, ate lots of good food and relaxed.  I love spending time with my family.

Thanks Mom and Dad!
