A cast for Kyle

Well, Kyle has definitely surpassed the rest of us in visits to the doctor. Tuesday afternoon he was playing t-ball in the back yard with the neighbors. He fell on his arm and twisted it. Wednesday morning, we took him to the doctor for an x-ray. They found a buckle fracture in his wrist. It's not serious, and probably would have healed with a splint, but with him being young and active, the doctor thought it was best to cast it for 2 1/2 weeks. We agreed since we won't have to pay for it--next week's hospital visit will max out our deductble anyway. Next week Kyle goes in for surgery on his ears. It is also very minor. He will have his adenoids removed and tubes put in his ears. We expect a whole new world to open up for him! Sweet boy.

Kyle, I hope you feel better soon and you heal quickly. Jason's walkway looks terrific.

Oh boy! I'm glad it wasn't worse! Two of our neighbors have broken their arms twice lately -just when they were ready to get out and play, it broke again. One had to have a plate put in the arm. After wearing my wraps I empathize with the itchiness of a cast! Poor guy - but I bet he's in the "its pretty cool" phase.

Kyle,
You will have to have someone in your family sign my name on your cast and draw all fun pictures to make it look really cool!
