A few random pics from this week

Kyle and Hunter have lots of fun together. Last Sunday, they made an invention! They discovered a soap bottle that only had a little bit of soap in it, filled it up with water; and shook it! Ta-dah! "It's like Germ-Ex! You put a little bit on your hands and rub them; you don't have to wash it off. After a minute, your hands just feel like regular hands!"
My nieces and nephews come home with me after church each week for an hour while their parents are in meetings. Me and the girls decided it would be fun to learn a song that they might be able to sing as a special musical number in sacrament meeting. They are really excited about it. I'll post a video of their musical number once they get some more practicing in.
A few months ago we instituted a "Church Reverence Program" at our house. The kids had a goal to fill up a little glass dish with gems. They can earn 1 little glass gem by being reverent before church and through the sacrament. They can earn one gem by being reverent from after the sacrament to the end of that meeting. 1 gem for reverence in class, and 1 gem for reverence in sharing time. It's been working very well. It was mostly to help Kyle and Rachel, but it's also helped Kayla to sit up tall and not complain. Well, last Sunday, they filled up the jar! It took about 7-8 weeks. They earned a family movie night, with cinnamon rolls and licorice! We watched "A Series of Unfortunate Events" because we've been reading those books together. Next incentive--game night!
This is the view out our back window of the sunrise; this is the reason I don't miss the mountains too much; there are some pretty views in Missouri. Posted by Picasa

I like the reverence program for church. I think we might have to start something like that. What a beautiful sunset picture!

Sounds like a good idea-I am going to try to Sunday morning stations-I read about it in the Friend. We will see how well it works.
