We love summer!

We are two weeks in to summer vacation and are loving it so far. We opted out of summer school so that we could we all (minus Jason, the awesome guy who has to work all day to provide for us) just be together and not worry about outside schedules creeping in. We have our own schedule of chores, playing, "brain power," (reading and other stuff), movies, lunch, pool days, library days, and friend days. I am the kind of person that needs a plan and needs to be prepared and the chances of things going well goes way up. So we planned and were prepared for this summer, and it's paying off. The kids are getting along (for the most part) and I am really enjoying having them around. That's not to say we won't have bad days, but hopefully we will continue on this summer high and strengthen our relationships with each other.

We have a friend that we love to visit: Sister Wood. We took these pictures standing on her porch where she and I had woven her climbing roses through the rail. Now they are in bloom and we are enjoying the fruits of our labor.

We are on year round school here and I miss the summer breaks. My kids are in until the middle of July. It looks like you are enjoying your family time together. Way to go on teaching seminary. That is a HUGE calling.
