Kyle was in charge of our Family Night lesson on Monday. He drew a tree and asked all of us what we are thankful for.
Then he wrote those things on leaves.
It was fun, and seeing him lead (and his artwork that I love) were the best parts.
On Tuesday, Rachel got festive at school in her pilgrim costume.
On Wednesday, Rachel helped me make pie crust, then ran off to play and left me all alone in the kitchen to slave and cook ;)
Finally, the big day arrived and we traveled over the freeway and through the town to Jen's house for the great feast. We had the before-the-feast feast:
...we had black friday ads to go through...
I got to meet Braden's friend from Utah who came to visit (two of the three soon-to-be missionaries we're so excited about around here).
The girls played girl stuff:
Now this was funny. The turkey button hadn't popped up, and it should have been ready; so everyone was gathered around the oven discussing it. (It popped in the midst of their discussion).
Kyle watched Hunter and his BB gun (guess what he wants for Christmas?).
And then we finally got to the eating!! Man, there was lots of good food. I love this holiday.
Afterwards, Jason played basketball with the big girls:

I saw your cabinets in the kitchen and remembered you had white cabinets and yellow walls. Its funny, that's what we've been thinking of changing ours to. Do you like it?
Wow! That was a great blog and pics during Thanksgiving! Thanks so much for posting it. That one picture of Kayla on the bed with Haley....Kayla looks just like Jessica in that pose! I was shocked and did a double take!
