Kayla received her first varsity letter in December (for Volleyball), and for Christmas received the jacket to go with it

A couple of weeks ago, Jason and Kyle went on an overnight Klondike campout.  It was bitter cold.  It's times like these I'm glad I'm not a scout.  Jason was a good boy and got some pictures of Kyle, but he forgot himself.

Jason said Kyle did really well with the bow and arrow, bb gun shooting, and rope walking.

I turned 36 years old.  This blurry picture is the only one I have right now, although I took some of Kayla and Rachel's decorations. Kayla made me a cake, and Jason made dinner.  It was a wonderful day.

We had a branch activity at the roller skating rink, and Jason even got out on the floor!

Several years ago, while participating in my first vacation bible school in Concordia, I made a new friend in Norma Mooney, the methodist pastor in town.  She moved soon after that VBS, but we still get together occasionally for lunch.  We got to do that a couple of weeks ago and it was great fun.
Kyle just got his hair cut again, but while it was long, he enjoyed  it!

I can't record our lives without recording the shock that came on Friday afternoon when I got the news that my dear friend Victoria had been killed in a car accident.  Her mission papers had just been completed and I had taught her temple prep classes.  She was so excited for a mission.  I had the privilege of being Victoria's seminary teacher for 3 years, and in the process had the honor of becoming her friend. I know that death is not the end-- that her spirit lives on. I know that she is happy in free from the cares and trials of mortality. I know I will see her again, and I look forward to sitting down and chatting with her about her mission. Victoria, your music plays on :) D&C 25:12

So sad about Victoria but we all know she is happy and content.

Loved the pics of Kyle with his longer hair, which I like by the way!

Fun seeing the skating party and your birthday cake.

Keep posting! We love the pictures and the updates!
