April Stuff

Rachel is in a boot craze.  We got her black boots for her birthday and then she got hand-me-down brown boots from Haley.  She wears them every Monday and Tuesday to school, which are the days she doesn't have P.E., and on Sundays to church.  Rachel is very style-conscious these days, and I'm not sure how I feel about that, as I'm not :/
Kyle will be 12 in June and receive the priesthood, so leaders at church held a priesthood preview.  There are 3 boys turning 12 this year in the branch, but Kyle was the only one who made it to the program.  All of these people prepared really nice, thoughtful talks and instruction all for Kyle (even his cousin who is the Deacon's quorum president), and prepared refreshments and everything.  I was really touched.
Kayla was recognized at the Winter Sports banquet for basketball.  I had trouble getting good pictures, but here's one:
I was thrilled to have both of my daughters attend the General Women's Meeting with me.  Neither one of them wanted to sit with me, but they were there without complaining and I was happy!
Rachel's friend moved suddenly last week.  Before she left, they had fun putting on make-up together and I snapped this picture before they washed it all off.
We switched Rachel's room around and she and Kyle thought it made a good position for a tent.
We had a mutual activity doing service at the park, and Kayla was asked to lead the opening song, so she climbed up on this handy dandy ladder to do the job.
Kyle is preparing for Scout Camp in June.  Being the only 11 year old scout in our troop, he was in charge of the flag.  I think he did a great job.  He drew it and then painted it.

We didn't have a big Easter, but we colored eggs and spent time with family.  It was really nice.
