Thanksgiving and Jason's birthday!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year.  What made it better than normal was the fact that my parents were here.  Not only have they been gone for 18 months on a mission, but I realized that I haven't spent Thanksgiving with them in over a decade, so it was really nice.
Me, Jen, Rachel, Haley & Courtney traveled to the airport to pick my parents up after their long flight from Montenegro.

Love is just always in the air when my Mom's around.  I haven't really put my finger on that before, but she radiates love wherever she goes.

We spent the week with the Day family.  They came to our house the first two days while my parents were with us, then we went to their house the last two days when my parents were with them.  It was one big party.  We tried to provide as many as we could of the foods my parents weren't able to get in Montengro.
Grandma brought back handmade slippers for everyone, and Grandpa brought everyone a collection of foreign coins.
Thanksgiving was the icing on the cake of a wonderful week:
 Seriously, I love this girl:

After dinner and some games, my Dad recited some of his awesome cowboy poetry that he wrote himself.
The day after Thanksgiving was Jason's birthday, and of course we were at the Day's house, so we celebrated there with cake and games.
Rachel did the decorating this time!
 This handsome guy turned 39!

I was just filled with gratitude the entire week for family, time together, good parents, and the circumstances and knowledge in which we live.
