Christmas 2014

The Friday before Christmas, Jason and I chaperoned the stake youth Christmas dance.
Kayla brought a couple of friends and had more fun that I think she's had at a church dance.  It was fun to see her enjoying herself.
Rachel has turned into a self-taught gymnast-i-girl, and practices whenever and wherever she can.  I really think she might cartwheel more than she walks.
With the money Harold and Carol sent for Christmas, I took the girls to see the Nutcracker (thank you!).
Kayla didn't want to go to a ballet, but I begged her, and she ended up enjoying it a little bit.
My favorite part was looking over at my girls and seeing them like this together:

On Christmas Eve, we went to the Day's and the girls decorated a gingerbread house and train.

These boys hung out:
The cousins had a gift exchange:
 We hung out too:
Then they all got their Christmas pjs and we read the Christmas story. (I borrowed this picture from Haley's facebook page).

Christmas morning was different this year.  Rachel was the only one to get up and spread out snowflakes on the floor- the kids' tradition they've had going ever since we moved here.
Nobody got any toys, unless you count Kyle's bb gun as a toy.  Rachel wanted clothes.  Kayla wanted help buying her new ipod.

Different was okay, though.  Our kids are getting older, and with that comes other fun things.

This last Sunday, I really enjoyed watching my two favorite boys tying their new ties together.

And my two favorite girls wearing their new dresses.
So it was different, but very good!  Merry Christmas!
