Not much happened in January-- I turned 37 years old.  I'm sure some day I'll look back and think this was young, but it does feel weird to say my age.  I had a great birthday, though!
Candles are always an after-thought at our house-- but Jason didn't let that deter him.  Can you figure it out?
Jason started a new adventure: Officiating basketball games!  He's had the opportunity to ref for the 5th-6th grade basketball, and hopes it's just the beginning.  Althought more difficult than he thought it would be, he's enjoying it.
We've been doing A LOT of this:  watching Kayla play basketball.  And we love it!  She's getting pretty good.  Jen came to a couple of games with her nice camera and was able to get some good pictures:
 That's our #12!

She sure has come a long way the last few years, and it's been awesome to watch her grow.

Last night, we got a two-fer!  Rachel performed at half time!  Rachel has been dance/gymnastics crazy, of course.  When the flyer came home from school advertising "mini-cheer camp"  she wanted to go so bad, and asked if she could use her Christmas money to pay for it.  So she did!  She went to a 3 hour camp on Saturday, and they performed last night.
I can do better than a picture, though:
