There's just something about this time of year...

I get sentimental and nostalgic, and just love the feeling in the air.
Soon after Thanksgiving we decorated for Christmas.  Jason and I were in a meeting at church and got a text from Kayla asking if they good bring up the decorations.  It's really nice to have them helping with the work!
Jason and Kyle had "town" set-up under the tree, while the girls set up nativities and other things around the room.

A couple of days later, I got a new piano student, the younger sibling of the 2 kids I've been teaching for years.  They're good kids and I love having them come.
And later that afternoon, I got to go watch Rachel in her first "Singing Orioles" performance.  It's a group of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders who meet once a week after school to learn music.  This was their first performance, at the Lutheran Nursing home in town.  Rachel is half-hiding in the back row with the turquoise shirt. Here is one of her songs, I guess I haven't uploaded any others from the camera, but I'll come back and link them when I do!
