Jason's 40!

Turning 40 is big deal, right?  He's way younger than I ever thought he'd be at 40 :-)
I wanted to do something to commemorate this day, but a big party just isn't him.  So I decided to ask for people to send me their memories of him or things they love about them.  It was pretty cool.  It was almost like things people would say if he had died.  Everyone should know how people feel about them while they're alive!  It was fun to see the similarities in what people wrote, and the unique things from people who know him best.

We had to get a few group pictures, especially since Steven will be moving out next week.  We're sad because we'll miss him, but really happy for him and that he's worked to get back on his feet.

We had everyone over for a birthday dinner: Swiss steak with mashed potatoes, rolls, and green beans.  And cake!
I know the first half of this video is very blurry but it was still worth posting.
Back row: Aunt Diane, Martina (Jen and Val's foreign exchange student), Steven, Kyle, me, Jason, Jen and Val.  Sitting: Kayla, Drew (Kayla's boyfriend), Rachel, Hunter, Christa (basically an extra member of the family from church), Haley, Courtney, and my mom and dad in front.  So fun to have them all here.  We finished the evening off watching Jurassic World, which was pretty cool.
Jason turning 40 got me thinking.  It's really weird that people think 40 is old because most 40 year olds have at least 40 more years of life to live, full years of life!  Anyway, I wonder where the next 40 will take Jason.  He's pretty amazing.
