My new job!

In March, a position opened up at the Main branch of the library; a full-time position in the Collection Management Department.  Although I've never wanted to work full time, something nudged me to apply for the position.  The job requires time management and organization, receiving all new materials to the library and disbursing them for cataloguing and doing some processing.  Managing all periodicals and holiday materials, as well as inventory and ordering of supplies.  It seemed right up my alley, so I applied.  I was offered the position and would start March 23rd.  Well, March 21st is when the libraries were closed due to Covid, so the first 5 weeks of my new position were worked from home, which wasn't much (there wasn't much I could do).
In May, employees were able to go back in and boy, did I have work to catch up on!  It was pretty ideal actually because all of the repetition from mail being received and opening shipments helped me to learn quickly.

My manager is Betsey Dick. She's in the black sweater below. She's amazing.  She let's me create my own workflow and manage my time- she let's me do my job my way and I love it!  I also work with (from L-R) Elizabeth Bush, Becci McGarry, Di Herald, and Lisa Solko.  They are wonderful women and great to work with.  I love my job!
