Kayla's Field Trip to Fort Osage

Last Wednesday I was able to go with Kayla on her field trip to Fort Osage, Missouri. It was rich in history and the people there were so good with the kids and making history interesting to them.

 

This was "Mad Dog" who was a little bit crazy, but great with the kids and teaching them about the old Factory Stores and what could be found there.

 

The kids were able to do several things with Old Glory, including helping the private hoist it.

 

They got to explore the fort on their own as well. It was right near the Mississippi River.
