Kayla's 10th Birthday

10 years ago last friday my dreams came true when Jason and I became parents. My greatest goal in life (and what I would say has been my greatest achievement)has been to be a mother. I can't believe Kayla is 10 years old. I think she really enjoyed her birthday. It began with a breakfast in bed, a trip to Walmart to get her ears pierced and shopping, an afternoon at the pool with our family and a couple of cousins, her favorite dinner of spagetti, and ending with a special movie night with our friend, Nancy. Kayla has brought a lot of joy to my life. She is obedient by nature but she isn't perfect! She is a good friend, a fine big sister, and is currently brining lots of music to our home! She's creative and imaginative, and with every spare minute can be found curled up in a corner reading a good book (a woman after my own heart!). I've especially enjoyed this summer with Kayla as our relationship has been strengthened through our time spent together.
