Our Independence Day Weekend

We had a fun Independence Day weekend. Friday we traveled to St. Louis to go to the temple; and it was nice that the weather wasn't too hot or too cold to play at the playground close by:

Saturday night we had a BBQ at my sister's house, then we all traveled to Jason's and my brother-in-law's workplace (because it was in the county and not city) to let off fireworks. Several families from our branch met us there and everyone brought fireworks to share.

Tuesday Night Jason brought home something that he and Val had been working on for the kids: a spinning teeter-totter! They are having a blast with this great toy. Val saw one like it at a friend's house and thought, "I can build that with scrap metal from work." He was generous enough to make one for us as well as his kids, and Jason helped.

The teeter totter looks so fun! I am jealous of all of the green grass and your backyard. I am ready to get out of Las Vegas! There is way too much cement for me!

We love the teeter totter. It has been so much fun to see the pictures of all the things the family has done this summer. Way to go.
