Missouri Visit

In June, we had our first trip back to Missouri since we've moved.  Jason wasn't 90 days in to his new job yet, and unable to take time off, so it was just me and the kids.  I was pretty nervous for the drive but I had Kyle to take turns with me, and he's a good driver.

We stayed at a hotel in Independence and Kayla met us there.  I was so happy to get my arms around that girl.  And my mission was accomplished!  I convinced her to move to Colorado!  I've missed her so much and I'm so happy she'll be closer.

I was so happy to have these three all together.  Although the fighting and bickering started right back up, I wouldn't trade it!  My heart. <3

The first couple of days we hung out with Kayla in Lees Summit and Independence (and a trip to the temple for me), then we headed to Concordia for Haley's boyfriend, Hank's, baptism.  I'm sad I didn't get pictures.  He is such a great guy and it was wonderful to be a part of..

Kyle was so happy to go back to Missouri.  All year he's been saying I'm too dramatic about the humidity there, but when we got out of the car at the hotel and he couldn't breathe, he realized he had forgotten what it feels like going back and forth.  Although we had a great time visiting loved ones, we were both ready to get back to the dry heat!

Before the baptism Rachel and I met up with a few of her friends and Kyle with his.  How fun to see them.  One of her friends' mom didn't tell her that Rachel was there.  It was priceless to see the look on her face when she pulled up to Cree Mee Freeze and saw us there!

Sunday we went to church in Concordia, what a treat!  It was so great to see everyone we love so much, and also to see their reaction to Kyle's transformation over the last year (since we moved he has put on 30 pounds of muscle).  We had family dinner at Jen's and it was just like old times.  I wish I had taken more pictures with the Days.  I love them so much.

This is what it's all about.💓💓💓💓

I love my sis and all she's done for Kayla this past year. So much gratitude.

We headed back early Monday morning and we survived!  I decided I would really like to figure out how to fly there next time.  That is a long drive even when I'm sleeping and reading, let alone when I have to stay awake the whole time, haha!  But it was good for memory making.
