On Wednesday, Kyle and I went to the Kansas City Zoo. It was fun even though we got rained on. Kyle's favorites were the tigers and the lions, and the golden lion tamarin form the tropics. in the rain forest there,Kyle was able to tell me a lot of the animals names and a little about them as they had just been studying rain forests in their class. I thought that was pretty neat that he got to apply and see up close what he'd been learning. The bottom corner picture is of Kyle and his best bud on the way home from the Zoo. They were pretty exhausted.
On Friday, Rachel and I were able to go on an Amtrak train ride. Neither of us had ever been on an Amtrak train. It was fun to be there with her. The best part was all the little 5 year olds watching the train come up to the station. They cheered and whooped and hollered. So cute.
