Rachel's got her arm back...mostly

Yesterday I took Rachel to the Orthopedist to get her cast off. She was excited as you can see from the first picture. The cast saw was a little scary but she made it through. She was pretty upset when she learned that she didn't have full mobility in her arm yet. The doctor said she needs to wear a sling for a couple of weeks when she's doing active things, for support as she gains her flexibility back. She was sad that she can't jump or ride her bike for a month.

 

However, by today she is back to her happy self again. She gets excited at every discovery (I can eat with this hand now! Look, I can hold this behind my back!), and enjoyed a nice bath for the first time in 3 weeks.
