Kyle was ordained a deacon after church 2 weeks ago, and last week, he passed the sacrament for the first time. I asked Kayla to get a picture of him for me, and this was what she took on her ipod:
I had been asked by a friend to fill in her for her as pianist in the Methodist church in town (they meet the hour before we do, so it works). As I was leaving, Kyle came up to me with a tie and said, "Do you know how to tie a tie?" "I don't," I said, "but when I get home we'll look it up on youtube."
Jason was already at his church meetings, so he couldn't help.
When I got home, Kyle was looking sharp with his white shirt and tie. I asked him if he tied it. He said,
"Yep, I looked it up on the internet!"

Kyle also received a temple recommend and we went to the Kansas City temple on Thursday morning for his first time doing proxy baptisms. Jason and Kayla went with him, while Rachel and I waited outside, then I took a turn. He really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back!

Way to go all of you.
I love to see the temple and am glad you got to go last Thursday. Yippee
So proud of Kyle! He is getting so tall! So funny about him looking up how to tie his tie on the internet! Sounds like something I would do, just a few days ago I looked up the different ways to tie a scarf!
