Scout Camp, Girl's Day, and Other Stuff

While Kyle and Jason were at Scout Camp, Kayla was at a Basketball Camp at the University of Central Missouri (Can you pick her out in the back row, 4th from the left?).  So for 2 days, Rachel and I were on our own.  We had a good time-  I had sent the camera to Scout Camp with Jason so I didn't get any pictures.
The Friday of that week, when Kayla was back, we had a girl's day in Kansas City with Jen and Haley!  We went to Crown Center, where there is a Hallmark Museum first.  They had this fun station where you could get your picture taken and they would e-mail it to you.  Here's a few we took:

Then we went to Crayola Kaleidoscope, a fun little free art activity place.

My favorite place was the candy store in Crown center.  They had a lot of the candy that we sold at Peppermint Place, where I worked as a teenager.  It was a walk to memory lane, and we bought some candy!  This picture's for you Jess!  We were wishing you were with us!
Here is a small sampling of the selfie princesses on the ride to the city:
I was very proud of Jason because he actually took pictures at Scout Camp!  This is Kyle and the boys from our branch (Hunter and Sawyer) at the pottery merit badge.
Here is leatherworking.  He made me a bracelet which I treasure!
 Mountain Biking!
I requested specifically that Jason get a picture of the 2 of them together.  Although it rained a lot the first couple days (and nights), they had a good time and Kyle earned 5 merit badges.  With the help of his Dad, he's well on his way toward Eagle Scout!
For Father's Day,we made breakfast, which is unusual-- Jason usually makes breakfast.  I actually think it was hard for him to let us, because he's got it down to such a science, but it's tradition!

We made him a candy bar card, cause this guy loves candy bars.
He's been wanting a camp chair like this ever since he knew they existed:

I've heard that teenagers need as much sleep as babies, and I can understand it.  This is how Kayla looked during the Father's Day breakfast, and how she usually is at Scripture and Prayer time.  She goes back to sleep right after.  Bless her heart...

She's been busy so far with basketball and volleyball leagues.  I tried to so hard to get good pictures of her awesome moves, but these were the least blurry:

Yesterday was our last day with Graydon.  He'll be moved to Florida in a couple of weeks :(  We love this guy.  He particularly loves Kyle.  This was Graydon greeting Kyle after not seeing him the week before because of Scout camp.  His mouth is open because he was trying to kiss him :)
He likes the girls too, of course--

Here's a video of Kyle and Rachel playing with him-- so fun.  It's an end of an era, the turning of a page.  It's been great.
