I love summer, because my kids do more to help around the house, including each making dinner once a week. Rachel's first meal was pizza and salad (shocker, huh?). Kayla can do it without my help most of the time, and the others I usually help, but it's so nice! I'm training myself out of a job...
We work on summer goals, and one of them always includes reading. There's not much that makes me happier than seeing my kids reading. I caught Kyle reading in bed with his book light the other day:
On Saturday, Kyle's buddy's mom called and said she tickets for "World's of Fun" that had to be used, and did we want to go with them? So me, Kyle, and Rachel dropped everything and went! Kyle and his 2 friends were really nice to let Rachel run along with them and ride rides with them. Their favorite was the log ride:
Cool dudes: Kyle, Conner, and Austin
Conner's sister really wanted to go on the rip cord ride, but not alone, so I offered to go with her. It was CRAZY, but fun. We were raised up super high in the air, above the roller coasters and the whole park, and then let go. It was unlike anything I've ever done before. Now I need to convince Jason to go with me next time!

Melissa- Kyle and Rachel have really grown. Kyle is almost as tall as you are. WOW! We are glad Kyle had a super birthday. Congrats on the one ride. I dislike heights so we will leave that ride to you and Jason.
Thanks again for all the pictures. Good luck with your food bill :)
Ha ha, I love Carol's comments about your food bill! She is right too! So fun that you were able to go to the amusement park for free!
And, I cannot believe you went on that ride! I would have paid 50 bucks to see that!
