Kyle turned 12 on Thursday! He chose cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and McDonald's for lunch. I told him he could get anything he wanted, and he bought a double cheese-burger, a chicken sandwich, a fish sandwich and fries. It wore me out just watching him eat! I have a feeling it's a sign of things to come...
He chose a red velvet cake with chocolate frosting in between layers, with cream cheese frosting over all of it. Kayla helped decorate it.
We had these guys over for his birthday dinner:
I love watching his facial expressions when he opens gifts and cards.
We got Kyle this punching bag. We've wanted to get him one for many years, and finally just did it. Last month, when I found a decapitated teddy bear in his room, I knew it was time to give him a way to release his aggression. It came in two big boxes, so Jason gave him the first one with the frame in it. They put it together to help him figure it out, then we sent him to the basement to find the other box. He and Hunter had quite a time carrying it upstairs. He was happy about the gift, and says he estimates that the destruction in his room will be reduced by 90%!
But, it is pretty big, so we had to rearrange his room to fit it a little better.
I love this guy. He is tough and macho and likes to pester his sisters and cousins, but he's also very sensitive, smart, and good. Happy Birthday Kyle!
